• Hello Everyone:
  The summer break is over and time for everyone to get together and show off all the projects they got accomplished over the summer. Next meeting September 9th at the Bozeman High School. Tom Robinson is scheduled to demonstrate hollow forms.

• Is anyone interested in getting together to make some of the hook tools that Alan Lacer demonstrated? We could get together and share the mistakes and learn together. Dean wants to know if anyone is interested. Contact Dean Center at kadmcenter@yahoo.com

• Our new Secretary Anna is trying to get a better handle on the e-mail distribution list for the group. If you are not getting monthly meeting announcements please be sure to let her know secretary@NRWG.org

• Meeting topics for upcoming meetings are now posted in advance. If you have a skill you would like to share, please step up and give a demo.

• The meeting night is the second Thursday of the month. The business meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and the general meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. As always guests are welcome and be sure to bring your latest work for show and tell.

• In the April 4th edition of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle our resident sage Gordon McMullen was featured in an article. You can read the story here.

• Ron Lerner recently attended a turning seminar at the Ellsworth School in Quakerstown, PA and he collected his thoughts from his experience. You can read about them here.

• The Rotary Club used to receive a turned gavel from John Montagne every year for the incoming president.
  With John's passing the group feels that we should step in and take over this in John's memory. The November meeting featured Gordon McMullen demonstrating how to make a gavel. Tom Robinson found this source for instructions.It has been proposed that we make a supply of gavels to give away to this organization in John Montagne's memory. If you would like to create a gavel we can donate several to the organization. The Rotary club intends to use a 4 1/2" long brass plaque around the head with your name and the recipent. Please make the head large enough so the circumference is large enough for this plaque.
  

• Free turned wooden bowls. See how you can get a free artistic wooden bowl or turned item.

• The library is a resource for guild members. Tom Robinson is our librarian and he brings the library to each meeting. If you have books/DVDs/Videos that you would like to share you can donate them to the library or loan them and retain ownership.
